Testimonials

"Robin has a career-long commitment to justice! She believes in upholding the rule of law and has an unrivaled desire to contribute to the fairness and integrity of the Livonia District Court. Our bench needs someone with her extensive trial and courtroom experience, along with her deep knowledge of the law. Robin's experience is second to none and she is the most qualified candidate to be our next Judge."
Martha Ptashnik
Livonia City Council Vice-President
"I am often asked for voting recommendations, specifically for judicial candidates, as these tend to be less known than those in more high-profile races. This fall, Livonians will vote for a new 16th District Court judge upon Kathleen McCann's retirement. City Councilman Jim Jolly is running against attorney Robin Persiconi. I endorse Robin Persiconi. Before giving my rationale, please know that it's not easy for me to oppose Jim on this. He and I served together on Council for eight years. I highly respect him as a husband, father, and community servant. He and his wife, Katie, represent so much of what makes a community like Livonia strong. However, when people ask who I endorse, they’re not asking who my friends are; they’re asking who is best for the job. Robin’s extensive trial and litigation experience applies directly to this role. While Jim also has experience in a courtroom, I see Robin getting the edge in an objective comparison of qualifications. This view is shared by others I trust within the judicial system, as seen in her many endorsements. Qualifications alone are not enough unless I’m comfortable with where a judicial candidate stands ideologically. I am not looking for views on particular issues as much as how a judge applies the law. (As Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch said, “A judge who likes every result he reaches is very likely a bad judge, reaching for results he prefers rather than those the law compels.”) Having grilled Robin in hours of detailed conversations, I believe she will hear all the facts and consider alternative perspectives before fairly and decisively making a decision according to what the law compels. On a personal note, Robin is a graduate of Stevenson High School whose brothers were friends of mine in elementary school. She, too, has a long history in our community and looks forward to serving us honorably on the court."
Scott Bahr
Former Livonia Councilman
"I had the pleasure of working with Robin Persiconi for over 20 years during my law enforcement career. Although Robin was usually practicing defense work, I was able to build a strong relationship with her that was based upon mutual respect and fairness. Robin’s diligence, attention to detail, reasonableness, and utmost professionalism shone through in every case that she worked. Robin exemplifies many of the attributes that are required of a judge in today’s society. She is able to apply the law, common sense, and facts of the case to draw unbiased and fair decisions that support our justice framework."
Michael Kennedy
Captain (ret.), Canton Police Department
"It is with great pleasure and utmost confidence that I endorse Robin Persiconi as candidate for Judge of the 16 th District Court. I have known Robin as a member of the bar since my earliest days as an attorney. Then, she was always generous with her insight, knowledge, and guidance to fellow attorneys. In her role as a legal advocate, she demonstrated the epitome of patience, unwavering tolerance and the highest level of integrity. As a Judge, I welcome her steadfast commitment to real justice for all. As a citizen of Livonia, I embrace her rare and valued temperament, and as a mother to children of this community, I support her candidacy because I believe deeply that she hopes to make Livonia a safer, more comfortable, and more unified place for their future. In sum, our legal system would be a better place if we had more attorneys like Robin. Our legal system and the City of Livonia will be a better with Robin on our bench."
Hon. Melissa A. Cox
Wayne County Circuit Court Judge

She is a proven leader and has accomplished so much in her career. Hon. Karen Khalil

"As a Wayne County Circuit Court judge for 26 years and Livonia resident for the past 29 years, I endorse Robin Persiconi for Livonia District Court Judge. Robin has seen the inside of courtrooms throughout southeast Michigan during her 21 years of practice. She has served as a township misdemeanor and ordinance prosecutor, a criminal defense attorney, and a civil and family law litigator. She has extensive courtroom experience and is well regarded by colleagues in the legal community. Throughout her two decades of practice, Robin has shown herself to be a patient, excellent listener, always willing to hear and understand the positions of all parties. Robin will continue the tradition of excellent judicial service Livonia citizens have come to know and expect."
Judge Timothy M. Kenny
Chief Judge (ret.), Wayne County Circuit Court
"As a longtime Livonia resident and litigation attorney practicing at both the federal and local level for the past 35 years, it is my opinion that no one should be a Judge in any court unless they have tried and litigated a large number of cases. I am supporting Robin Persiconi for District Court Judge because she is the candidate that has real litigation experience."
Scott W. Rooney, Esq.
"Robin is a lawyer with a solid understanding of the law possessing proper judicial temperament. She will make a great judge."
Hon. Ronald W. Lowe
